Wooldown Farm has launched its brand new holiday cottage ‘Bijou’ a romantic jewel of an addition to their already stunning collection of rural retreats nestled on the wild North Cornish coast.

Following several years of glowing guest reviews of the William Holland Bateau and Rotundus bath in two of their existing properties, Wooldown decided that the grand 2m bateau spa bath would be the perfect addition to their growing collection of luxurious properties.

With all the romance embodied by a bath perfectly designed for two, the French inspired bateau bath finished in a traditional patina adds a warm dimension to the luxurious glamour of the high polished nickel interior. Delicately highlighted by a series of subtle floor lights, the freestanding copper bath stands proud as a key aesthetic and experiential feature of the cottage. Situated before the impressive glass doors opening onto the magnificent countryside and expansive sea views, there surely can be no better place to relax and unwind than immersing yourself in the decadent spa bubbles with a glass of fine wine and good company.

The larger Bateau bath is the perfect size for couples to share and enjoy the benefit of the added air flow spa. The first guests said it was the perfect pre-wedding retreat and will miss the view and the bath!

Designed for relaxation, every aspect of the ‘Bijou’ cottage is finished to exceptional standards, utilising the very finest of materials and traditional craftsmanship. Reflecting the natural wonders surrounding this Cornish delight, every effort has been made to bring the stunning environment into each detail of the luxurious interior. Shimmering blue pearl granite worktops hint at the wild hues of the Cornish Sea, sultry grey slate backdrops and tiles in a sophisticated array of tones mirror the atmospheric coastal wilderness and solid, pale wood floors creates a subtle calming ambience with all the associated peace and tranquillity of sun-bleached driftwood in a secluded bay.

Sparkling chandeliers and rainfall showers add a contemporary edge, whilst the original French furniture lends a glamourous continental twist to the nature inspired design. The hand carved French bed is the perfect stylistic companion to the Bateau bath, whilst the walls adorned with work by local artists and the selection of luxury herbal bath products by Cornish producers St Kitts Herbery maintain the unique Cornish identity of this secluded idyll.

Still available for Christmas bookings where better to enjoy a romantic break than nestled deep in the Cornish countryside, with the wilderness on your doorstep and a private spa cottage for your festive home.
